Market

Our view is that the market has changed dramatically over the last five years as the financial industry entered a period of consolidation that will stretch through 2017.

IT infrastructure and the associated cost base that powered the growth of the sector between 1990 and 2008 has become a millstone in the new era. The market is entering a shakedown, which will see a dramatic reduction in technology costs. Meanwhile the top line business environment is equally tough, leaving participants in a position where they need next generation systems to compete in an agile and time-sensitive manner, while driving down overall IT costs by an order of magnitude.

Options is uniquely placed in this new market reality. Since its formation in 1993, Options’ vision has been to deliver world class shared services to the financial services industry. This began with the provision of core technology services to Hedge Funds and has expanded to include a full range of top tier global banks. Tilting the playing field by delivering the next generation of service at a significantly lower cost than either internal IT groups or incumbents has always been our core business.

Our Private Financial Cloud platform and associated services are uniquely positioned today because of the underlying engineering principles, compounded by a million FTE hours of effort spread over almost twenty years, further combined with ten years of investment in the PIPE platform.
